Conservatives don't want taxes raised on anyone, not just the successful, but anyone. Why, you ask? Because penalizing the achievers doesn't do a thing to fix the debt/deficit problem. In fact, most feel (including BO) raising taxes in a teetering economy could hurt more than it helps. Based on what BO has expressed publically in regards to rasing taxes, one has to wonder why he's pushing so hard now.

 

Has anyone bothered to listen to the CBO's predictions? If we raise taxes. the unemployment goes UP and teh economy goes DOWN. Don't argue with me, that is what they say will happen.

This is pretty typical of his dodges. That is the only possible way that anyone such as an extremist Left-winger can sustain a completely off-planet narrative and still exist on this planet. They can't hear the question much less logically think about it and respond. How do they explain away BO's comments that raising taxes in a fragile economy does more harm than good?
How do they explain away that even if BO gets his way & gets his tax hike the money generated will only fund the gov't for a few days?

How can they honestly say entitlements don't need to be reformed in order to exist for the next generations?
