Are you saying that the media went to the White House to cover a story? What a scandal! Imagine, media people covering a political story. How will this country survive? Quick, where is the fainting couch?

    Your conservative rages are pathetic.

Oh what a fantasy world you live in!
Think for a minute...I know that's contrary to your typical MO but try.
The story was broken by a reporter from another far left source so it can be viewed as nonbiased.
No mention was made of any other "media people" in attendance.
The 3 attendees were MSNBC's chief commentators, not reporters- partisan, far left commentators.
The article clearly states the 3 stooges were there to "discuss tax rates", not reporting a story, not attending a news conference, not interviewing anyone but "discussing" tax rates.
    Hmmm...

How do you know they were the "only" people invited and how do you know they met with Obama?

    The answer: You don't.

Interesting story for sure but considering those people have backed President Obama all along what's the big deal?

They all report and immerse themselves in politics and definitely from the perspective of the left.

If they are discussing taxes the more input the better I say.

Hell, if he invited Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity I wouldn't mind. More input.

Fox and MSNBC are two sides of the same coin. MSNBC just tries to be cuter about it. ;)

Both channels are only really good for those people looking for validation of their deeply held political beliefs. For actual news, one should really look somewhere else.

I think that you are invested in the false equivalency argument so oft used by the Right. I have no doubt that MSNBC doesn't support any of the Right's points and leans forward and to the Left. But equating them as equally to the Left as Fox is to the Right just serves the narrative that the Right-wing media wants you to believe. Anyone that watches Fox and that can ignore the innuendos, half-truths, and deliberate omissions, and can still equate that with MSNBC needs to go back to school and retake English because they are hearing a foreign language.
Even he audience is qualitatively different. Rural folk just ain't that dang streetwise if ya know what I mean.

And FOX trying to get Petraeus to run for President? That's a non-story, right? I'm sure FOX will get right on THAT story!

All the cable news programming isn't what I'd consider "news". It's usually biased. CNN and MSNBC both have issues, but both are leaps and bounds above FOX for accuracy in facts presented.

FOX, for example, recently relayed information to it's viewers about the Martin/Zimmerman case that was severely biased in favor of Zimmerman. The contention I have with them on the story? They told us that Zimmerman had a bloody face after the shooting and therefore was within his rights to stand his ground. What they left out was that Zimmerman pursued Martin, that he chased after him, or "hunted" him. Under the law in Florida, that in no way can be considered defending yourself, but FOX ignored that completely. CNN and MSNBC wouldn't have ignored such important information, because they have the journalistic integrity that FOX lacks.

MSNBC viewers ARE looking for validation of their deeply held political beliefs. You're just looking too hard to validate your deeply held political beliefs to see it.

Yeah, that's why half of Republicans believe ACORN stole the 2012 election for Obama because Fox is such a bastion of real news. Zombie rural idiots.

"ACORN", "Community Organizations International" or whatever they want to put on their letterhead is the same horse. I believe most people are able to see through the fraud.

My point is if they lean toward one party and are heavy on partisan commentary in support of one side, avoid them for news unless you are just looking for validation of what you already believe. I would treat them equally as tainted sources for actual news.

If one pig pooped in my drinking water or two pooped in it, I would consider the water the same...tainted and unfit for consumption. Two things do not have to be completely equal in order to warrant the same treatment.

 You found us out. We "trash-talk" about the GOP & FOX being in cahoots because we want to divert attention away from the fact that Democrats are secretly colluding with MSNBC.

I take it you watch soap operas?

Of course MSNBC favors the Democrats. No one is denying that, as far as I know. FOX favors the Wrong, and only the most "troubled" in the Wrong denies it.

This, of course, doesn't fit into the view you wish to see, so feel free to ignore it...but please, stop watching soap operas, they're messing with your head, man!

    Nice shirt, by the way.
