I don't know if it is the 24 hour news cycle or if these people are just lacking any verbal creativity. Misinformation, disinformation, threat to democracy, etc...... We all hear these over and over and over..... But if I hear Harris say just one more time "in terms of"..... I am going to throw a brick at the TV.
I know! In terms of what? 3POs, or R2D2s?This has been a turn-off for me in a conversation my entire life when someone uses that phrase. The other one she constantly uses and is another life-long turn-off is: "LOOK". I wanted to scream while watching the Debate last night, because Governor Hogan kept using it. He knows better. POTUS Trump does it also. It is maddening! Look at what? It is condescending as hell when I hear someone use the word. I can remember my 9th Grade English teacher continuously reminding us that when you use it in conversation, it is a sign that you are stupid/uneducated/argumentative/disrespectful and can't explain yourself in clear English. I have never forgotten that . It is pervasive these days, regardless of age or education level. It is simple courtesy not to do so. I'm getting old I guess, and can't stop yelling at the ankle biters to get off my lawn.
