Seems things are not going well for Mr. Putin and his war machine on the Ukrainian Front. So, again he thinks that the West will cower in fear when he uses his nuclear blackmail bulster.
However NATO also know that if you let a tyrant like Putin get away with murder every time he flexes his nukes around/ it will be Ukraine today/ Moldova next month/ then Estonia.......
So the Western Democracies have to give Ukraine whatever it takes to destroy the Russian invaders/ weaken them to the point that either Putin is killed in a coup/ or the Federation unravels in internal civil wars. The thug in Belarus may also face a coup.

I as a German/ living in Canada and a Conservative/ I like classical coinage/ music/ art/ architecture and governments that are honest (the Liberals/ Trudeau are not/ scandals/ spending $$$ like drunken sailors/ while Canada sinks deeper into debt) But at least Trudeau has supported the Ukrainians with military/ humanitarian aid. So/ I do point out the good too/ no one is totally right or wrong/ except for thugs like Putin/ Xi Jinping/ Little Rocketman. However getting back to topic/ its SO important esp. in the US/ that Democrats and Republicans unite under the banner to STOP Putin/ Russians in their bid to destroy the Ukrainian national identity, culture/ people/ just look what the Putinites did to Muriopol. Also/ ditto for defending Taiwan from Chinese imperialism. Biden should have a news confrence and state that the US recognizes Taiwan as a sovereign state, which it is. The USA does NOT need Communist China/however if the USA/ EU stop ALL trade with that regime/ it would be a hot day in hell for Xi.

 

There is absolutely NO WAY Republicans, Conservatives, and democrats will unite. Their differences and beliefs are too far apart! There is one way - war on the USA when we will lose due to the democrats, progressives, Marxists, and other enemies within my country weakening our morals, our military, and our youth. It is a sad state to be in.

 

The Democrats in this country support Ukraine to the tune of nearly 100%. It is only the MAGA crowd that sides with Putin but they really believe not in Putin or Russia. They believe in anything that is going to stick a finger in the eye of our president purely out of spite and the side they end up on be damned. In this case, they have sided with Putin. It speaks to their madness and lack of principles and the shallowness of their patriotism. For these reasons, I tend to ignore them. You can't reason someone out of an idea they didn't reason themselves into in the first place if you know what I mean.

Republicans and Liberals can co-exist... The old time Democrats that have apparently disappeared in the past 20 years in congress, replace by kooky lefties that somehow manage to conceal their radicalism in the public eye.

Sorry to say it.. But once the 'old time' Democrat voters pass away, I'm not convinced they will be able to manipulate the voter base as they do now.

My grandparents are these 'old time Democrats'... They espouse modern Conservative talking points, but simply take the fake news media at face value because they lived in a time where you COULD do that (to a degree).

I would have considered myself a democrat... I was a civil war fanatic as a kid and seeing the 2008 inauguration was incredible! but as we know, 2008 Obama was different than 2012 Obama... and by 2014 I was all over conservatism.

Maybe I should make a post eventually about what my views were a decade ago, vs. where I stand now.

 

I disagree 100%. Informed Americans of any race, religion, or political belief CAN CO-EXIST but the word "Liberal" no longer describes folks who are similar to many of the founders of this country.

My family were democrats. They are not ignorant "woke" liberals or leftists so they left the party long after I did. One old aunt has stayed brain-washed and ignorant - she watches the monkey business on the "View" every day. She'll be dead soon. Good! Ignorant relatives are my enemy also. You got the wrong side mixed up! That's EXACTLY what the Russians are doing in Bakmut. They send in the infantry vs strongly defended lines/ and the Ukrainians mow them down, ones that run back are shot down by Russian security police. They did the same in 1943 Stalingrad/ were NKVD/ fanatical commisars executed 60K Russian soldiers for being shirkers .

 

The Russian forces engaged in combat are all elite paratroopers, private militias, Volunteers from Donbas and Checkins .They have no forced conscription like Ukraine does. They had a call up of former artillery specialist who are behind the front lines by least 12 miles. True the Wagner forces used convicts as cannon folder troops but they only had a six month contract and if they survived, they go home of which many did and the convict experiment is now over. Think you have no idea how badly treated the regular people in the Ukraine army are treated by Ukraine. The forced conscripts, the Territorial units of Western Ukraine that were promised they never be sent out their district and are sent to Eastern Ukraine with very little equipment and shot if they retreated.
Western Ukraine leadership is not close to what you think it is.

7/ Feb. 24th/2022 they launch full bore invasion/ from South/ North/ East.
8/ Putin sends in Chechen :hit team" to kill Zelenskyy and his cabinet.
9/ They fail to take key airports/ the 56 km column of tanks/ military hardware/ guns/ truck run out of gas/ food!
10/ Ukrainians destroy Russian tank columns near Kyiv/ Russians in Bucha massarce hundreds of civilians/ bomb schools/ hospitals/ shelters/ apt. bldgs.
11/ Putin then warns West not to aid Ukraine/ telling NATO that he has an arsenal of hypersonic nukes/ which he will use.
12/ Finally/ 13 months later/ the bad guys have lost thousands of tanks/ trucks/ guns/ artillery pieces/ 200+K KIA/ many more wounded/ MIA.
13/ So, now again he wags his little nuclear finger at the West/ that he will deploy ICBMS in Belarus. The West/ NATO are laughing at him/
14/ The Muslims are not in Ukraine but in the former Soviet Republics like Uzbekistan/ Turkmenistan/ Kazahkstan/ Kirghizia/ Georgia/ Eastern Russia.
15/ Thank God that the German wehrmacht took such a toll on Soviet Union 1941-45/ one reason why they are a paper tiger. They never recovered from the 45 M the Boleshevists murdered/ plus 25 M KIA WW2. Then the Stalinists also murdered 16M Ukrainians 1928-34 and millions of ethnic Tartars/ Chechens/ Muslims 1941-53.
