Social Security is a tax. If you're lucky enough not to need it to survive than count your blessings. It's a good thing to have.

In liberal's minds, every tax is a good thing . . . the more taxes we have, the harder it is for individuals to keep track of how much they are surrendering, and another opportunity for liberals to make promises they otherwise could not keep:

    Income tax
    Capital gains tax
    Corporate tax

    Dividend tax
    Gift tax
    Inheritance tax
    Windfall profits tax
FICA tax (Social Security and Medicare)
    Property tax
    Sales tax
    Use tax
    Alcoholic Tax
    Carbon tax
    Fat tax
    Financial transaction tax
    Fuel excise
    Luxury tax
    Soda tax
    Sin tax
    Stamp Duty
    Transfer tax
    Poll tax
    Fares
    Tolls
    Inflation tax

    Seigniorage

This is an insidious attack on individual rights and an assault on the very principles upon which this great nation was founded.

Okay, so you "altruistic" liberals say you want fairness? Let's eliminate federal and municipal taxation of the individual, and make the states the sole taxing authorities, allowing the federal government to collect revenue only from the states, and only the states from the populace. Only in that way, can the elimination of double taxation can be ensured.

I can guarantee our representative s would never go there, because they live off of the shell game . . .

Yes, I agree with you. FICA is a tax. It is not a savings plan.

Having read a number of your posts, I have come to the conclusion that you are PO'd because you are not getting a government check. Why do you deserve one?

As for me, I was once a registered Democrat. I worked for George McGovern in 1972 and Jimmy Carter in 1976.

In 1980 I left the fold. I made that decision as I was walking home from work on Election Night.

I learned that as a White Male that I was the "enemy.” Because of quotas based on race and gender, “I had to go to the back of the bus.” Every time I had to mark my race and gender, I knew that I was behind a lot of other people despite the fact that I had more experience and education. I saw that these programs were never going end, even if the problems they were supposed to fix were resolved. The Democrat Party left me; I did not leave it.

That was the fact that really made me dislike Elizabeth Warren. She lied about her ethnic background to get ahead. I could have done the same thing because my mother found Native American ancestors, on both sides, in our family during her genealogy research. It's not unusual if you family has been here for more than a couple centuries. I would never have claimed it because the percent was not enough to qualify in my opinion. It’s a good deal higher than Elizabeth Warren’s 0.5%, but enough to claim such a privilege.

This is such a pathetic Right-wing narrative. Nobody has the right to tell you what your heritage is. My wife is 100% Irish but when she was an undergraduate, she received a small grant, a few hundred dollars, that was supposed to be for Native American students. When she pointed out that she wasn't Native American, they just said that if they didn't give it to somebody, the money would not be given to anybody and there were no Native American students at the time.

Maybe rather than your ilk making racist whooping calls and your fearless leader mocking Native Americans with playground Pocahontas nicknames, you could stop the racism for once and let people decide on their own heritages. Perhaps if you weren't so mired in Right-wing mythology, you could spend some time learning the truth of the crap you spew.

Her heritage is none of your damn business but it does speak to the Nazi-style Aryan fixation the GOP has in common with the last Fascist regime we had to put down.

Warren DNA Analysis Points to Native American Heritage
The analysis on the Massachusetts Democrat was done by Stanford University professor Carlos D. Bustamante.

BOSTON (AP) — Responding to years of derision by President Donald Trump and other critics, Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Monday released a report on a DNA analysis that provides strong evidence she does, in fact, have Native American heritage.

The analysis on the Massachusetts Democrat was done by Stanford University professor Carlos D. Bustamante. He concluded Warren’s ancestry is mostly European but says “the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor.”

Bustamante, a prominent expert in the field of DNA analysis, determined Warren’s pure Native American ancestor appears “in the range of six to 10 generations ago.”

That meshes with Warren’s narrative that her great-great-great-grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith, was at least partially Native American. That would make Warren 1/32nd Native American.

But if her ancestor is 10 generations back, that could mean she’s just 1/512th Native American, according to the report . That could further excite her critics instead of placating them.

Those critics have charged that Warren advanced her career with a narrative she is a descendant of Cherokee and Delaware tribes. Trump has repeatedly mocked his potential 2020 presidential election challenger as “Pocahontas,” going so far as to offer $1 million to a charity of her choice if she took a DNA test that proved her claims.

The analysis was first reported by The Boston Globe and posted on the newspaper’s website along with a video produced by her Senate re-election campaign.

In it, Warren says: “The president likes to call my mom a liar. What do the facts say?”

Bustamante replies: “The facts suggest that you absolutely have Native American ancestry in your pedigree.”

Leave it to you to defend the indefensible. You have no shame at all. Of course, you voted for Hillary Clinton, so why should we be surprised?

If David Duke had called himself a liberal Democrat, you would gone to bat for him.

The assertion that you can determine your own heritage is ridiculous in an era when liberal Democrats have divided us by race and gender for the purpose of establishing quotas. The courts have used these quotas to allocate employment, promotions, preferential treatment for loan applications, admission to colleges and probably more things than I know.

If we have the right to declare what our ethic background is, then every White person should declare themselves to be a protected minority. Then they will be able to enjoy the special privileges that the courts have decided to give to those groups.

Sometimes when you make a stupid argument, your own politics come back to bite you.

I remember at one point some gays were saying they should have a quota.

My reaction was that we could all go down to ER department and declare ourselves gay. Who could prove what your sexual orientation was, even if you were married?

Back in the day, when being gay was considered to be a mental disorder (It isn’t) prominent men like Cole Porter, the Broadway show composer and lyrist, had “white marriages” to cover themselves from the stigma.

In this day and age, I don’t believe in quotas for anyone. As Martin Luther King said, people should be judged by the quality of their character, not the color of their skin.

I have the right to decide my ancestry not anyone else. CLEARLY you have decided to ignore the in-your-face-evidence of Warren's ancestry because it doesn't fit your poorly conceived Right-wing meme. She does indeed have Native American ancestry and nothing you idiots blind yourselves to will ever change that fact.

"The facts suggest that you absolutely have Native American ancestry in your pedigree."

Once a piece of complete factual mythology makes its way into the Right-wing bubble, there it remains in spite of the truth, actual evidence, or any amount of common sense dispenses with it. You guys are so predictable it is almost laughable. No wonder you worship this clown. He is exactly like you. Sad really.

You are making as big fool of yourself as Warren did over this issue. That along with her other fibs did in any chance she had of winning the Democratic presidential nomination.

WHAT?? How in Zeus' butthole do you think you can decide your ancestry??

As I recall, Warren apologized for the whole Native American debacle after the "DNA proof" she came out with. Why would you go on defending it?

There you go with fabricated rights again . . .

You have no more right to decide your ancestry than your ancestors had the right to deny you descendancy.

I think Elizabeth Warren was Joe's favorite in the Democrat race. He has hinted that now an then. I guess he's licking his wounds over her political demise.

As for my ancestry, I could have wished that I born to the House of Winsor. It’s an easy way to be born rich and in-line for life of debauchery. Do you think they would take me if I claimed to be a long-lost cousin or a black sheep son? I think Charles’ brother is now got some problems since he was a buddy of Jeffery Epstein.

My grandmother claimed that there was a British lord in our family tree. The story she told was that this fellow helped the king on his horse during a battle. Now that I have studied quite bit of British history and put together a decent collection of coins, I wish I might have asked her, “Which king?” It might have been interesting. :D

Are you too dumb to know the difference between social status and ancestry? Kind of looks like it.

There are (were?) only two people with the right to determine your ancestry Joe, and you're not one of them.
