Are you watching? First impressions?

So far, I see a weak, mumbling, bumbling, old fool on one side. “We beat Medicare.” What??

The opponent, in my opinion, is showing much stronger out of the gate. Much more clear in his verbal command and, much to my delight, he isn’t trying to interrupt or talk over the other.

 

I never knew Jobie slept with eyes open . . .

. . . And Putin told Trump to do what he wanted, so Trump invaded Ukraine . . .

 

Oh. This is bad. Like bad bad.

It's like, virtually everything coming out of Trump is lie and spin, but it doesn't matter because he's so so so much better at this.

No way Joe shows up to the second debate.

 

Like, how about you spin up some details on what, exactly, Trump has lied about in the beginning of this debate?

 

Oh dude, they both are lying and spinning constantly. Trump's just way better at it. Partly because Joe's trying to play defense and hitting old talking points while Trump is smartly not bothering.

 

We should all have agreed in advance to make a drinking game out of this.

I’d have thought 50 years in politics would have made Joe better than Trump at debating. Days and days of preparation at Camp David for this?

I'll admit Biden had a much worse showing but you all are blinded by team sports mentality if you think either candidate was "good"

 

He showed the world that he is mentally incompetent. Good? Trump didn’t destroy him like he could have.

Blast it…. I fell asleep before it was over but saw most of it and I haven’t heard any spin yet as I just woke up….. Neither impressed me really. I expected to see the SOTU Joe, but the Joe that I saw scared the pants off me. Only positive I can say about Trump is that he controlled himself…. Given the two choices for POTUS last night…. There was only one choice really. I found it telling that Newsome was in the house last night.
