The order in which President Trump has approached solving the nation's problems is out of whack . . . so liberals would have you believe.

With their recent article, "Prices were a key issue in 2024, but Trump makes clear they're not his top priority", NPR lambasted the president for having his priorities screwed up . . . for not immediately bringing down prices.

Nice try, NPR. Bringing prices down without fixing what caused the inflation doesn't solve anything . . . it just ensures the pain will return.

Sustainably bringing prices down has more to do with increasing supply / curtailing demand than it does empty-headedly instituting price controls. Price controls combined with increased demand just results in shortages . . . especially in a time when, among so many able-bodied, "lying flat" is the activity du jour.

Fixing root cause more permanently addresses inflated prices, and should take precedence over actions which more superficially satisfy those who fail to understand Econ 101. Following are many of Trump's priorities, and expected by-products therefrom:

    • The tariffs will be offset by the creation of more domestic jobs to produce at and sell at lower prices than the imported goods. The creation of those jobs increases capacity and will force importing manufacturers to cut their costs to compete. That, and / or drop their own tariffs so we then become more competitive in their back yard.
    • The rises in oil prices will be reduced by increasing domestic production.
    • The cost of transportation and of transported goods will decline with a drop in fuel cost.
    • The increases in prices for shelter, food and taxes will be brought down by reducing demand from the illegal population.
    • Rents will become more affordable as illegal immigrants return to their home nations.
    • More affordable rental capacity will bring down home prices.
    • Property insurance will come down with decreases in artificially high property values.
    • Taxes will come down as the able-bodied, flat-lying, basement-dwellers return to the workforce.
As the foregoing take place, the declining American standard of living will reverse course. Likely this will go largely unnoticed because these adjustments are all gradual and take time . . . unlike the inane force-feeding actions of the Biden Administration which put us where we are.

It's quite clear to me that these "journalists" outclass Trump when it comes to sensationalizing problems . . . not to fixing them.
