Just watch it first. Now you guys KNOW I'm not voting for him. I also know most of you don't like him. This is your choice? No wonder I'm a Liberal.
Clem...You knew I'd be the first to respond, didn't you? First off, you know I'm no big McCain fan but I think he is by far the better (and the only real) choice. I watched the video objectively and was struck by the number of clips that were just inserted for effect...how do we know the clips or the comments even pertained to the subject being highlighted? There were also a few videos that cut him off in mid-statement. I would say that this sort of thing could be created by any school kid with a computer and anybody, political candidate or not, could be the target. Additionally, the clips cover many years...things change over time. Imagine what someone could do with your boy Obama!! There are several reasons for conservatives to take issue with McCain but this type of video doesn't accomplish anything of a serious nature...out of context statements, halted comments, etc are entertaining but certainly not important to the process.
Of course anyone could do this David. I expected such a reply. I'll start digging into Obama myself. McCain was TOO easy I'm afraid. So things change over time. I agree - 11 minutes is an eternity to a fruit fly. Seriously though. A lot of people's views have changed on the war. I'm sure as hell tired of it. I guess McCain has that right as well. Although his comments are in VERY stark contrast to one another. Must have just realized he was wrong in the beginning so he corrected(?) himself. Understandable SINCE THE WAR HAS NOW GONE ON LONGER THAN OUR INVOLVEMENT IN WORLD WAR II. I think that war meant a bit more myself. Vote McCain. Keep the military occupied!
Occupied also equals safety here. Remember, we were attacked on 9/11 and war was declared on us way before we went to war. We were attacked many times over the years but not once since we started to defend ourselves. I appreciate the fact that I can feel safe getting on an airplane again with my wife & kids. Obama has changed his perspective on the war several times himself. His first "strategy" was to pull the troops out on Day1 of his presidency...remember that one? It doesn't matter who gets elected when it comes to exit strategy...conditions on the ground will dictate the appropriate time to get out. McCain has just been more pragmatic & honest on the subject. To quote Jeremiah Wright "Obama is just saying what a politician has to say".
John McCain will say anything to get elected. I would not let that dirtbag pick up dog carp in my backyard. Omaba and Hillary are worse, and would be worse for the country. Of the 2 major parties, McCain is onlty the lesser of 2 evils. This is a Move-on. org out of context type ad, yes, but you cannot blame them. McCain deserves to be exposed for the lying coniving dirtbag he is. McCain will lie thru his teeth to get elected. All 3 of them are desperate politicians, Omaba has more people drinking the koolaid, Hillary has the Clinton Brand and McCain has the Democrats and moderates, and the dying lowlife Republicans who have abandoned the conservative principles and ideals. I renounce the Republicans and everything they stand for. I am a registered Independant, and I'll go to hell before I vote for John McCain. A month ago, there was no alternative but Nader, now there is, and I'm sure more will pop up before November. I will go to HELL before I vote for John McCain. If I sound fed up, I am. I will not bend my Reagan/Goldwater principles. The Republicans have abandoned me.
I also live in Arizona, that gives me the luxury of a protest vote, as McCain will carry this state anyways. If I lived in Ohio, PA, Florida or another swing state, I MIGHT, I just MIGHT consider voting for the dirtbag to keep the Dems out, but this is not the case
2 days ago...Obama: Iran is a tiny little country that poses a tiny threat yesterday: Iran is a terrible threat and a danger to all mankind ( I think an advisor told him how ignorant he sounded....) paraphrased of course
I think it is pretty obvious by now that Obama is a manufactured candidate...no substance, unqualified & well, kinda dumb but I think I have figured out who is behind the facade- his wife Michelle. It makes sense if you think about it. She's got the Ivy League education & distain for the US which are the 2 main traits most Liberals seek in a candidate but her experience in "big business" makes her unelectable in those circles...so what to do? Barack is perfect...she can pull his strings & he'll do/say whatever the other puppet masters tell him to.
It would be a welcome change for a young, bright, determined person with fresh ideas and a new approach to win. I think Obama sounded like that at first, and that was the attraction, kinda like JFK, who turned out to be the last great Democrat and a pretty good President. I think Obama is not quite ready for prime time. I find his liberal agenda frightening, and the total lack of understanding in the areas of foreign policy, economics and national security go along with youth. McCain is old blue-blood Washington, the last of the dinosaurs, now that it appears Kennedy and Robert Bryd will go first. Obamas feel good speeches say nothing, and you cannot point out any accomplishments of substance, it cannot be done. McCain will tell you what you want to hear, then stab you in the back, at least Obama tells you up front he will destroy this countrys economy and security. The conservatives had better either start a takeover of the Republican party again, as it is just about dead. Wheres the fire? Wheres the ideas? Wheres the agenda? Where is the freakin leadership? Both partys suck, but the Dems suck more
....and how did you come to this brilliant conclusion David? "Most Liberals"?. Hell, what do "Most Democrats" or 'Most Republicans" or "Most Independents" believe in? Until you can get inside EVERYONE'S head you should refrain from blanket statements. Blanket statements only make a person look like a fool. Congratulations you're well on your way to blanket statement stardom. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt as you said MOST instead of ALL. As you know I'm a Liberal. I know a lot of Liberals. What you just brought up is no where near our reasoning. I mean NOT EVEN CLOSE DUDE! I could give a rat's ass about Michelle Obama. I didn't give a rat's ass about any other first "lady" until Hillary ran for President for that matter. They (until recently) were not running for President of the US. I'm betting "most" Liberals think the same way but will refrain from making that blanket statement. clembo
Clem, Sorry if I offended you but I'm not backing off my statement...maybe I should clarify it by saying it's the Liberals in charge who think that way. Think about it, the last 3 candidates they have paraded to the general election...Gore, Kerry & now Obama...Ivy league educated, subtle but obvious (some more than others) disdain for the United States, hypocritical, empty suit elitists who could only connect with the bi-coastal extremists/power brokers of the Democrat party. These people could care less about you or me. They just want to push their Marxist social & economic programs down our throat...Thank you sir, may I have another??Their goal is to take away all incentives to innovate, work hard and to succeed. They want to see you in line at the handout window, dependent on their whim of the day.
