This isn't a thread about abortion. Rather is a thread about sanitizing the word.... I been listening to the senate confirmation hearings this week and I have heard this term "reproductive health" used numerous times. Does sanitizing the word abortion make the brutal reality of the procedure more palatable somehow? What's next? We put grandpa to sleep?

    I think it's a more encompassing term.

To your point though, you're generally correct. That's just politics. Branding, spin, staying on message, etc is like half the job.

    More encompassing . . . ?

Correction . . . “Reproductive Health” is not about reproducing.

    It’s about not reproducing.

I believe a more descriptive term other than “reproductive health” would be “baby slaughtering”.
