Woke up early to watch a BBC broadcast of the first lunar landing. It was a powerful event when I was ten years old watching the event live that still moves me today. One scene in the broadcast were of a baseball game and the venue put the words on the scoreboard, “We are on the moon”.... From the TV angle provided, fully 70% of the spectators in attendance bowed their heads in silent prayer. It was a wholly peaceful moment and it was a good thing for all. I submit that a body in prayer is not a body in conflict. How can prayer be such a negative thing in these conflicting times?
Prayer is meditation. What deprived mind said prayer is bad. I once did a job for the transcendental meditation group in Atlanta. They claimed that when they have meditation sessions, the crime rate drops. I would love to see some real research into this area.
