Is more evil ruling the world now then good

This is by far not the best of times nor is it close to the worse of times.
But do we have more evil intentions then good ruling the world in recent memory?

Our nation should be at peace with the world and more reasonable at home.
But current events say otherwise.
Europe is a mess and even when the current conflict is over will only get worse with the leadership of the EU and those that pull its strings.
China is committing Genocide and ESPN/Labron James/ etc think it is a Disney theme park.
I could go on but I know what I think. What do you think. All responses on this thread are good ones for it is personal opinion of one’s outlook.

 

It is a balanced world, in reference to Good and Evil.

There has never been a time in recorded history that it hasn't been so.

There is a consciousness of increased awareness of the level of Evil that causes the average person to interpret a prevalence of same.

This is simply because of the 24/7 information technology stream in the 21st Century, and instant awareness of "news", coupled with another simple human fact...bad news sells and is great protein for gossip and the main Bible of the Ideology Of Division.

I refuse to partake in the Sky Is Falling media hype. To me, every day since Tet 68 is a free day, and I deliberately pay attention to, and am fascinated and humbled by, the world of goodness and courtesy that surrounds me daily. It is humbling and comforting.

Free Will is a great Gift.

 

I am more like @charley and tend to view the world around me from an optimistic stance. We see so much negativity in the 24 hour news cycle that we are surrounded by, but then when you step back then you realize that is what sells news. We had a storm blow through last night and today strangers are descending upon neighbors houses with chainsaws to help clear debris and I would bet my bottom dollar that you will not see any of that on the television..... Yes, we are surrounded by evil, but the balance is in check.

 

Boring doesn't sell, so no one seems to take notice if something isn't crashing and burning.

 

Anytime I get too deeply mired in negativity, I go back and read about my hero, Saul the Christian killer who converted in three days time to become Saint Paul who went on to write a third of our Bible…… And yes, this is an open invitation to the left to pile on. I wore my big boy britches today. Did you?

 

Russia/ China/ N. Korea/ Iran/ Saudi-Arabia/ Belarus/ Syria are on top of the "Most Evil Hit Parade" When you look at the UN membership/ most African Nations are ruled by despots/ same goes for most of the "Global South" On the "Good Guys" side you have Germany/ France/ USA/ Canada/ UK/ European Union Nations. Here in Canada/ the media compared the Russian Federation to a "Gas Station with nukes/ controlled by a Mafia Criminal Organization"

 

YES, YES, YES, and ALWAYS.
