Our tradition is to make about 24 hardboiled eggs. Then we color them in food dye + vinegar in pastel colors. When I was a kid, my parents would make nests and place them all over the house. In these nest, they would place the colored" easter eggs, chocolates filled with weinbrand (cognac) and other treats. Lots of fun.
As children we used to have an Easter egg hunt in the fields around the house, gathering the eggs with our Easter baskets.
Yes, us too! That is, if there was no snow on ground. I already had two Easter eggs for breakfast today. Jumped the gun, only Good Friday. Made walleye filet fried in butter for lunch. Yummy.....
