Being in business I get way too many emails already….. But last year I did Support Trump. I bought a MAGA hat and sent a little something to the campaign. We know the rest of that story. Now here a year later it befuddles me that I still get almost daily emails from the Trump PAC. They are all dressed up as though they are personal emails from Trump. Yeah, right…… Well I did my part last year and now I am done. I know that I have “unsubscribed” on multiple occasions to no avail. Why would I still be receiving daily support requests? Is this some clickbait scam you think?
I always try to give anonymously. About 20 years ago I stopped giving organizations a way to reach out to me, and it seems to have saved me lots of grief.
I certainly learned my lesson.... On the heels of that I sent a donation to the Special Olympics a few months back.... I swear I have 3-5 letters EVERY day now from different organizations hoping to part me from my money.... It won't happen again.
The benefits of getting receipts for making documented tax deductible donations simply don't offset the headaches one gets from the nonstop solicitations. I only donate cash nowadays.
