Some of you may have noticed I've not been posting as much lately. I'm getting ready to go into the Navy as a Chaplain, and preparing to move everything has kept me busy. I also won't be posting much while I'm at training in Rhode Island through Thanksgiving, and then settling in at Camp Pendleton, California just before Christmas. So I guess I'll see you in the new year.
Congrats and good luck. I don;t know about the Navy, but in the Air Force, the Chaplains always have candy.
KLJ, The armed forces always have a need for chaplains. My church minister was himself a chaplain while serving in an artillery regiment. He retired from the New Zealand Army after 15 years,& has since continued to serve full-time as a minister. Aidan.
Pendleton If your going to Pendleton , you will be with the FMF Fleet Marine Force. As with certain types of billets the Marine Corps draws from the Navy. Corpsman is the big need for a rifle company. On a ratio basis of Corpsman, they had more CMH then enlisted Marines during WW11 at Iwo Jima. They also had a loss ratio higher then any other rating. Chaplins do a service that is hard, and not understood by many. They will all eventually come to you.
This is the extent to which I will go to protect my coins. Surround myself with several thousand heavily armed United States Marines.
We'll be there at the same time! Tell her to keep her eyes open for the stunningly handsome and intelligent Chaplain (LTJG).
KLJ, You will be doing a lot of good while serving in the Navy,as you may ended up getting posted overseas,& possibly earn your first campaign or service medal in the process. Aidan.
I couldn't do what she's doing. Those OCS folks have it rough. I'm in ODS, which is a cakewalk compared to what she's doing.
