Liberals making excuses while France is looted, private property destroyed and stolen, and burns.

Not one liberal asked why does a 17 year old is driving a Yellow Mercedes rented out under someone else’s name, who is paying for it, where that money is coming from and how long the rental is or is it a lease?
No one is asking why jewelry stores, high end stores and car dealerships looted with middle eastern men carrying military grade weapons.
No one is asking to what extent is the North African drug dealer gangs , who also fund terrorist groups, is involved.
Instead they show an old photo and blame it on the Police.

No one is asking why Macron danced at an Elton John concert while France was burning.

Now that is a ridiculous under the table accusation!!

Obviously, he likes Elton John music.

    What is wrong with you?

I think he likes the lifestyle of Elton as much as the music of John.

toughcoins Rarely is the liberal viewpoint tainted by realism

I’ve been on edge this past week, as my daughter left for France a week ago for extended Euro vacation / coursework before returning to work.

Her first week was spent in Paris, and now she’s leaving for Lyon for 3 weeks of study, where there was rioting as well.

Those cities were both on her original itinerary, and are not diversions to join in on the demonstrations. Still, I am concerned she could somehow be drawn into, or be affected by the rioting. Especially since this is a low-budget trip for her, staying at AirBnB's, youth hostels and similarly under-secured locations.

So far, so good, but I'm holding my breath, as she's supposed to be in France for 4 weeks before moving on.

We only communicate every couple of days but, yes, she's doing great! Thanks for asking Charley.

AS long as she returns safely. It is such a different world, now. I live in Fontainebleau Palace for 3 years. The Senegalese Soldiers (Military Guards) would drive us into Paris, and drop us off at Notre Cathedral. The Paris-American School was about a 1/2 mile away from the Cathedral. We were kids and walked all over Paris, and there was never even a hint of a problem. We were encouraged to explore and mingle. The Palace Bus would pick us up about 6-6:30 Pm, or if we wanted to go earlier, we just bummed ride or hitch hiked.

It is sad to see what Paris is like now, and for that matter the country side towns. Sign f the times, I guess, but I would not travel there anymore. In 1997 I took my wife to Paris. it was as I remember it, and the French people were as lively and accommodating as when I was young. Now? I doubt it. Socialism seems to have returned...THE BAD KIND, NOT THE GOOD KIND. I was sure that had been kicked out of them in the late 50s/early 60s for good.

BTW, Lyon was fabulous when I was young. Kids from all over Europe gathered in Lyon, and there was always something gong on day and night. The food hangouts along the Rhone were unmatched and stupid cheap.

I hope your daughter immerses herself in the City. It is one of the over the top great historical and architectural places in the World. The money the Catholics spent in that place....Oy Vey!!! And it shows.

She’s in the homestretch now . . . Can’t wait to see her again. This Skyping stuff ain’t as good as the real thing. She’s on the buddy system with 2 others for the balance of her trip, so I’m a lot less worried now.

As long as her return is safe, and it is/was a fruitful and satisfying trip.

The anarchists are taking over the entire world. There is only one solution to riots - bullets! The dead don't riot.

Protest is great. Break something, burn something (except for a flag), hurt someone, steal something and bang, bang, bang another enemy of the world is dead. Within a very short period of time, the radicals stirring up the ignorant dups would be dead. o_O

    I'm serious. :p:D
