I was just quoting you and your supposed earnings below minimum wage as "head of maintenance". Actually a cheapskate. It saved me much since my wive has a bad back. Nope! Just you. I fully believe most of what Mr. RBGUPI says about his life. I just don't agree with it.
That's bad enough, but I was referring to the worse offense of working under the table while claiming unemployment benefits at the same time. Those people are utterly despicable . . .
Fair enough. Just don't expect others to agree with your observations without evidence to back your beliefs. You get that, right?
I save that the "utterly despicable" condemnation for those that can pay for services yet claim benefits. As you'd say, that is an abuse of their rights, under the law, an abuse of the system. Yet, republicans believe that is justification for withholding/reducing/eliminating benefits for those who are less able to care for themselves. Should the poor suffer because of the few who cause issues? Not in my opinion. Yes, corruption and greed should be averted, but don't harm millions to fight against the few. Be smart about it, not dumb.
The system is broken, and has no incentive to fix itself because it operates on other people's money. Unlike in private industry, those who run the system have no skin in the game. Therefore, throwing more money at the broken system will not make the problem go away. It will just make their jobs easier. The real solution is to fix the system first, and that will free up more money.
