toughcoins Rarely is the liberal viewpoint tainted by realism

Saw this on CoinTalk . . . surely another case of rules-despising-liberals gaming the system.

I know we're all just speculating here, but for the record cryptobros like these lean heavily conservative. Well, the weird kind of conservative libertarian anyway. Actions like this are well in line with that kind of libertarian philosophy. The kind that say government should be so small they shouldn't stop organ sales free markets a la Javier Milei would probably be okay with this.

    WTF?

Yeah, the guy's actions smack of Smollett-ism (as in Jussie Smollett) since he wanted to achieve his goal through fraud and deception. More than likely a liberal just like Jussie.

Well now I'm just sad. A more detailed story was translated by a local as follows:

"his estranged childhood friend contacted him saying that he accidentally pissed off some gangsters and needed to pay them.

Convinced this guy to get insurance from multiple companies and then staged an accident, when he tried to take his legs out of the vat of dry ice due to pain, his friend bound him to the chair so he couldn't move.

The victim claimed that this guy told him only minor injuries were required for the scam.

This guy found someone from his past that he knew would be soft-hearted enough to help him and took both of his legs without a shred of empathy."

Yea, because that excuses any intent and action to defraud.

Them darn gangsters...they do stuff like that. I saw the movie. They get away with it because there is absolutely no law enforcement to assist and protect INNOCENT citizens from dastardly deeds and there is just zero honor and self-respect in those darn Asians.

Now, on to the important subject: the thoughts of the local and international Asian citizenry, and the condemnation by the majority of same , of the attempt to defraud and embarrass the citizenry, especially via the derisive attention of the world community on the dumazz incident, and they want swift justice executed to uphold the Honor of the citizenry.

There is sympathy, and then there is sympathy my azz when such conduct brings shame to the Asian community.

This situation is overwhelmingly in the sympathy my azz category.

    I know stuff.

As to the excuse story you presented, turns out it is BS. THE "photo" has been doctored on so many levels, elementary students took it apart easily. It did not require the tech giants of Sony brain trusts to do so.

Fake image or it’s an imbecile that just sat there when they could have just stood up and walked away or…. Just kicked the bucket away. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.

You may notice the zip tie indents in his legs and the cut ones on the ground. He was at least tied to the bucket.

I think it's a rag, but I know you have posted the New York Post before as a legitimate news source. Here's an article about the incident where they thought that photo was fit to print

The Post is quoting Newsweeks article and the picture is from Jam Press. You may not like the NYPost but they have been more accurate than The NY Times. You know, the Russian collusion and Hunter laptop, and so on and on and…

Yes, that's how photo credit works. I'm well aware NYP workers themselves weren't on the scene to take pictures. The point is, they printed it in the story indicating their editors agree with it's veracity. Could they be wrong? Sure, but I thought maybe you'd give them credit as it's a news source you trust. Plenty of better places printed it, I used NYP as an example just for you

Yes, I always trust media that sells stuff that is titillating. I wonder, have you any idea of the Asian community in NYC, and THEIR disgust?

The Post can never be trusted. Their publication is one step from a Gossip Rag, and makes its living by cute headlines that are at best, humorous and dependent on the shock value and gossip value sales that are generated.

January of 1998 The Drudge Report, largely viewed as a gossip rag, reported that Newsweek was sitting on a Clinton scandal and….
I Don’t trust any news outlet, do your own research. Don’t be like @GeneWright and just keep believing in Russian collusion, cornpop, and very fine people hoaxes. I’m sure he believes the new bloodbath narrative.

Bless your heart! Many other “better places” published the Mar A Largo pictures from the FBI raid, now didn’t they? Would you like to analyze this one too?
