So, what's "Obamagate" all about? Supposedly all you have to do is read any newspaper other than the Washington Post. Suppose I'm having trouble, anyone know? Or is this a thinly veiled and embarrassing distraction?

I'm really interested to read about the "biggest political crime in American history, by far."

Quit acting so naive. Any person with their head not completely up their wazoo knows the story. I seriously hope that we now have the personnel in the DOJ with the cajones to do what's right.

He might not know the story because he could be looking only at "fake news." I watch ABC News every night, and you would have no idea what it is, except for the fact that the copy writers at ABC News is mad as hell that the Justice Department has recommended dropping the Flynn case.

ABC News is so obsessed with the pandemic and how it’s going to rise up and kill a lot more people in the U.S. and worldwide that there is not much time for any other story … expect the disgusting one about the neo Klansmen in Georgia who murdered the Black jogger.

If you listen to ABC News, you consider suicide because there is no hope for the world unless the entire planet shuts down.

If you want to get up to speed about the story, check out Bret Baier at 6 PM on Fox News for the more balanced approach. He might be running the story. If you want to hear about it for sure, and can control your progressive blood pressure, you might try Sean Handily 9 PM or Laura Ingram at 10.

How much did Obama know and when did he know it? It’s still open to question. What is concerning is how top officials in the FBI and the Justice Department were getting involved in domestic politics and doing illegal things. If some of those people had their way, we would be living under a police state.

    That is my objective assessment.

To wrap it up in a nice little package, the whole Russian collusion debacle and Mueller investigation.

Key people in the highest positions under Obama's watch doing things that unravel the vary fabric of democracy and justice. A political assassination attempt that did nothing but waste taxpayer money and destroy lives of people caught up in the frenzy of deceit.

John called it out above, the big question about Obama is how much did he know and when did he know it. Biden has already tried to lie about a small piece of it and got called out on it.

As I mentioned above, if the DOJ has the personnel with the cajones to start holding some people accountable to their actions..... I'm going to grab a bucket of popcorn and kick the recliner back.

Oh no no, the DOJ is an arm of this, but let's be clear. This investigation could start today if the Senate Republicans decided to form an investigative committee. So, your move McConnell. Do the Republican senators not have what it takes to hold Obama accountable?

We had a discussion about the FISA Court, and you agreed with me that it has a lot of potential to result in the abuse of our civil liberties. That is exactly what happened here.

Crooked FBI and Justice Department officials doctored evidence on a fake dossier and used it in the FISA Court to get surveillance permission on higher up people in the Trump campaign. Even if you don’t like these people’s politics, you have to be concerned about the highest law enforcement officials in the Federal Government doctoring evidence and spying on citizens, who are exercising their Constitutional rights.

Later we have had the story about the FBI going out to destroy people because they were part of the new administration. They wrote memos to that effect that they were out to get Flynn. Weather or not he was guilty of anything was beside the point.

When did Obama know about this? That’s a good question. Biden got caught up in it a few days ago in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. When pressed he admitted to sitting in on the meetings where this was discussed, but tried to play dumb as whether or not he knew anything about the prosecution.

The government has infinite funds to prosecute a case. Private citizens only have so much money to hire attorneys to defend themselves. When the government starts to threaten other members of your family to force “a confession” you don’t have a lot of choices.

That’s why Flynn cracked. That’s why the Attorney General Barr as asked the Justice Department to drop the case.

Government political bullying is a major civil rights issue. If high officials in the Justice Department and FBI can harass people because of their political opinions, this country is headed for a police state.

This should be issue, regardless of your politics.

Nixon did with the IRS against Democrats in the early 1970s. It was wrong then and using something similar tactics against Republicans is wrong now.

I'm am not that interested in "getting Obama." He is out of office, barred from running for President again and will probably never be in the House, Senate or in some Democrat President's cabinet. The most he might ever be is a chairman of a blue ribbon commission.

I am interested in the rats in the Justice Department and the FBI. I want to make clear it to current and former officials of those agencies that there will be consequences from wrong doing of this sort. If jail time is appropriate then they should go to prison, just like former attorney general John Mitchel did.

The message needs to be sent in no uncertain terms that politically motivated harassment and prosecutions are not acceptable on any level. You don’t like the outcome of an election, and there has been not wrongdoing, tough. You don’t have a right to go after people because you don’t agree with their politics.

If you do, you will lose your government pension as Andrew McCabe did, and perhaps go to jail.

To be honest with you, I would like see Jim Comey take a perp walk. He deserves it. Even the Democrats should be pissed off at him given the way he played with the Hillary Clinton illegal server case during the 2016 campaign.

I almost want to look this up but then again it will probably be another birther style smear job. I guess the only way to know about these baseless conspiracy theories is to actually reside in the right-wing bubble. I just can't see entering opposite world to get a jump on any of these silly "designed for distraction" Fox promoted non-stories. It seems like any time commitment to BS like this is just a waste of awake time. But it allows Fox to sell commercial time for the Right-wing preppers book sellers I guess. If the truth doesn't work, lies sell better anyway. No investigative journalism necessary. Just make shit up. Make it sound plausible to idiots and bingo, the money flows in.

It is written on the Justice Department memos that have been released and the recorded testimony from Schiff’s secret committee.

Joe, how much would I have to search in these very forums to find where you were wetting your pants about Michael Flynn in 2017 and probably chanting guilty, guilty, guilty?

Now, with the information that is being released, you don’t find it even somewhat wrong what was done to the man?

Quite a bit of searching I'd guess but what I said or you said is beside the point. Flynn pleaded guilty and those is the only words that matter.

I did mock him quite a bit with his own words slightly altered for gender... "Lock him up!" "Lock him up!" "Lock him up!" "Lock him up!" He is a traitor. The worst d of traitor. One in uniform. The firing squad would have been too good for him. Isn't that what we do with military traitors?

    Oooo ....

We have another socialist who has found the canned repose website.

It has not worked for @JoeNation, and it doesn’t work for you.

But keep it up. Paint yourself into a corner.

In the mean time I will discuss the issues. You can open and post cans.

Since @JoeNation snd @FryDaddyJr are more interested in far left ideology than maintaining our democratic institutions, these responses are not surprising.

They remind me of the old mossback Republican representative who stated after the Watergate scandal was proven, “I will not be influenced by the facts.”

@JohnHamilton has that unwavering self-confidence in his own asinine opinions that reminds me of people that are both really, really stupid and arrogant at the same time. They spend their time convinced that they are the final word in any conversation and never realizing that everyone else in the conversation is just laughing at them.

At some point, usually the second they start losing the argument, they resort to personal attacks. Sound like anyone we know? Oh Yeah!
