In my mind Nancy’s lil’ temper tantrum last night was right on par with Joe Wilson crying “LIES” during Obama’s address. Absolutely charming.

Well, you shouldn't walk into anyone's house and slight them.

Thing is, again we are setting the example for everyone that is watching. Mrs. Smith's Government & Economics class assignment was for her students to watch the address and write a report. Well, those teenagers witnessed an adult government leader throwing a temper tantrum. How are these kids supposed to absorb that?

The partisan divide has never been greater. Trump only widens that divide. That is the world we have left these kids. They can write about that.

In the 1990's I coached coaches pitch baseball. These are 7-8 year old kids. I was only going to coach my kid for two years but I ended up coaching nine seasons out there. The last three years I insisted that the league give me all the kids that had no skills. The ones that no other coaches wanted. Two of those years we went to the All-Stars..... Why do I bring that up?.... Because I was a spectator when my oldest son played ball several years previously and I witnessed adults in the stands scream at these kids and curse the officials. It was appalling to me. I made it my business to set a different standard. By my seventh year, every parent in the area wanted me to coach their kid. My teams had fun. The kids respected the officials and their parents were motivational. Those were my core rules and by golly, we won lots of ball games. I still to this day have several of the kids look me up to thank me and was invited to one young mans wedding not long ago....... See, thing is we can all holler, curse and throw temper tantrums. That's far too easy. Sooner or later somebody has to stand up and do the right thing. And that is the person that has the lasting impact for the better in this filthy world.

And Schiff, AOC, Tilibe, Omar, Nadler, Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat impeachment crew have absolutely nothing to do with the great divide. Maybe you should try out for”Saturday Night Live” since the theater of the absurd has been dead for decades.

In this tiny microcosm, you are the most divisive person who posts here. Your hatred drips out of every sentence. You won’t discuss any serious issue unless you can condemn and blame Trump for something. Glen Beck said this morning that hatred will consume you. Perhaps that’s where you are going.

I am less than wiling to engage you more than any other poster here for the obvious reason that you are the biggest offender in so many categories.

    1. Name calling
    2. Attacking rather than conversing
    3. Anger
    4. Accusing language
    5. Extremely biased characterizations
    6. Lack of basic knowledge on so many topics
    7. Copious amounts of projection
    8. Creepy stocking
    9. and of course hatred

When you are in the House of Representatives, you are guest of the Speaker of the House; in this case Nancy Pelosi. Trump began his temper tantrum with a snub directed at Pelosi. I don't blame her for reacting to Trump's well-documented childish behavior. Not one little bit.

I am trying to be fair and objective here. I did not catch this when the address began last night. Honestly, I did not see anything that resembled a snub last night. Now I have tried my best to advance this thing frame by frame. My first observation is that no hand was extended by his own vice-president. And by advancing this thing as slowly as possible, the presidents head was turning while Ms. Polisi's hand was being extended. Why would a handshake even be expected when one was was not even offered by his own vice president? I have been guilty myself of being too preoccupied to notice a persons hand being extended towards me and I did not have a State Of The Union address on my mind..... Joe, I believe this is a very poorly veiled attempt at justifying Ms. Pelosi's childish temper tantrum. I'm sorry, but this one don't fly...... The "he touched me first" defense doesn't even work for my kids.

    Doh

SmalltownMN All I can do is shake my head....

Each side can point at things, Joe. Is it customary for them to shake hands? If so, why didn't Pence reach out?

I believe it is customary for the Speaker to announce POTUS in a certain way. Did that happen as it should have?

Past SOTU's have shown us one side of the aisle sitting and not clapping, we're used to that, but please show an example of a past Speaker of the House acting like Pelosi did last night. Not just the tearing up of the speech, but the constant look like she was shitting her pants and eye rolling and shaking her head.

When a hand is extended, which it was, you can either choose to shake the hand in friendship and civility or choose petty childishness as Trump did. Pelosi was clearly not the offender here. Trump was just being his petty self again because that is who he is.

You have to realize that Trump had just spent 5 minutes shaking hands that were being shoved at him from all sides. But somehow he missed Pelosi's hand that was right in his face? OK.

I posted the video. I watched it several times. At a minimum, Trump ignores Pelosi completely.

It's not like trump has >16,000 documented lies in 1,095 days in office, has been banned from having a charity after defrauding multiple charities (including kids with cancer!) to fund his campaign and himself, mocked the disabled, sexually assaulted women, raped an underage girl, walked in on underage girls at his pageants, cheated on his 1st wife, on his 2nd wife with his 3rd wife, on his 3rd wife with a porn star, laundered money for russia for years, violated the emoluments clause from day 1 in office (Jimmy Carter was obviously a fool for selling off his peanut farm), covered up the murder/dismemberment of a US resident and WaPo reporter, engaged in racial discrimination in his real estate holdings, violated the US Constitution by bribing/extorting a foreign nation (multiple times with multiple nations) to investigate a political opponent, hired white supremacists as top aides (Miller, Bannon), sought to provide nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia and other mideast nations in secret (see Seth Abramson's Proof of Collusion and the involvement of Erik Prince of Blackwater and the infamous meeting in the Seychelles), awarded an AM radio hate merchant who's mocked people with Parkinson's, sang racist songs, spewed misogynistic hate and conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory with the Medal of Freedom on the floor of the House.

    I mean...Nancy ripped a copy of a lie-filled speech in half. She's so mean.

If hypocrisy drives you crazy, then logically, you should hate Trump! Otherwise it's just driving you crazy when it suits you!

I am simply sick to death of it all. So completely fed up with what by all outward appearances to me is simply childish bickering. And I’m not alone in feeling that way..... Today we have bad weather here so I had to leave early and get my baby from school. Walked in and flipped on the tube just in time to see the end of a Pelosi news conference. Just on and on ranting about the man. I was truly embarrassed for her..... This train has left the station. Just let the damn thing run it’s course. In November if the electorate is unhappy with the mans results, then things will take care of themselves..... But please.... Sheesh, enough already.

Joe is so obsessed with Trump that it has become a malignancy on his brain and perhaps his life. I would suggest that you get some psychological help, Joe. I’m serious.

I didn’t like Johnson, Nixon, Ford or Obama, but I never carried on the way you do. If you keep it up, it’s going to eat you alive.
