So as you may or may not know.... approximately 30 GOP Lawmakers entered the meeting room of the Investigation hearings without permission. Here is both sides of the story-

CNN- After Republicans storm hearing room, Defense official testifies in impeachment inquiry

    FOX-

GOP lawmakers storm closed-door impeachment session, as Schiff walks out

This is a very good post Coin. You have presented both sides of the media. I respect that.

The truth of the matter is that the Republicans are lying and Fox covers their lies. The committee investigating this scandal has both Democrats and Republicans on it. It also has Democratic staffers and Republican staffers present. The Republicans are allowed to ask any questions they want to ask. They can call witness if they choose.

What Republicans outside of the room are doing is attacking the process because they can't refute what the witnesses are saying. When you can't counter the testimony of witnesses, the only thing you have left is to attack the process itself.

Your second paragraph is a total lie @JoeNation. The Republican cannot call witnesses, and they not allowed any cross examinations. All of the proceedings are secret except what the Democrats chose to leak to the press. It’s a totally one-sided investigation that is aimed at keeping a steady drip of negative news about Trump before the public. It is nothing like the impeachment proceedings that were conducted during the Nixon and Clinton inquiries.

Not even the main stream news media tells whoppers like you do Joe. One of my functions here is to keep you honest.

Are you on pot or LSD, Joe? It’s obvious that you have lost contact with reality.

You get away with your lies on Twitter, Joe, but not here. As I said not even ABC News would collaborate you lies about the rules for this impeachment process.

How damn old are you? LSD?

You ever notice that just before someone in the media reports some crazy-ass fool doing something so stupid that it makes the news, they always start with, "A man from Florida....."

I am a baby boomer, so I qualify has “elderly.”

I know you guys send the dogs after the African-Americans who wonder off the Democrat plantation ... I guess I will find out what you do to old folks who don’t have sense enough to take their Medicare and Social Security checks and vote for the Democrats.

In the old days, the Democrats used to listen the retirees when they were getting ready to pass legislation that hurt older people. I remember when Democrat House Leader, Dan Rostenkowski, got an earful from an elderly voter and changed course on a piece of legislation.

Now you disrespect your elders because too many of them roll over when they are are getting rolled. I was well aware that part of the funding for Obama Care came from pulling funds from Medicare. Most seniors seemed to miss that. I am not one of those docile old people. I oppose living under socialism.

You need to fill me in on the new drugs you young fellows are taking these days. The ones you take have obviously rescued you from any thoughts about the results of the public policies you advocate.

I'm going to look into this, perhaps library of congress has some information relating to the policies of the inquiry.

This is how you know that the whole republican objection was just a sham to begin with...

To be fair, it is not a flattering picture of either of them. Fair and balanced.

This is a win-win. If you get your impeachment, it will fail in the Senate, and the evidence will be such a joke that it will backfire on you. There will also be some Congress members in competitive districts that will have to show their true colors. If they vote to impeach, they will show the independent voters that they are just Democrat party-line hacks. If they vote no, they probably will get to hold their seats, but a failure to impeach will not reflect well on the Democrats. Perhaps Pelosi will be able to count noses, get what she wants and avoid putting her majority at risk.

As I’ve said repeatedly, this impeachment strategy was not wise. The Democrats should have geared up for 2020 by passing the new Canada, Mexico and U.S. trade agreement and addressing the infrastructure issues instead of wasting so much time on Adam Schiff Circus. This would have showed that they were not totally partisan and had in interest in the welfare of the country.

Instead they have listened to the far-left of their party, AOC, Omar and Tliebe, and ignored the general welfare of the country. The whole country does not agree with New York City and California.

The Bill Clinton impeachment hurt the Republicans and this impeachment will hurt the Democrats. Impeachment is not something to be taken lightly for strictly political purposes.

Trump and many of his administration members have already admitted the quid pro quo. We already know that it is illegal to solicit political favors from foreign governments. We have multiple admissions, we have a law that forbids the behavior. Check and mate.

So let’s tie up our elected officials for another twelve months. What the heck. They have nothing better to do anyway.

The Democrats are upholding their oath of office to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. You can't say the same thing about the Repubicans. They are not upholding their oath of office but instead are protecting their own asses from the rath of Trump's base. If you have to ignore the oath of office you took out of partisan self-interest, do you really deserve your paid government job anyway? Not so much.

How I hear you. And I believe you know I am not that trivial. It’s just that after three years of impasse after impasse. At this point the left could tell me that Trump and Putin are holding orgies in the Oval Office. I am just done with every elected representative utilizing every iota of our governments body to horneswaggle one man for a solid three years. Here we are... The greatest nation in history. And this constant chaos is all we have to show for it. It is just mind bendingly unforgivable to me anymore.

The "chaos" you rightly describe, has but one source. I am sick to death of the chaos, the scandals, the politics of petty personal attacks, the literal infiltration of New York style mafioso criminality into our politics, and the complete degradation of not only the reputation of the Office of the President but the the complete disregard for the leadership role on the world stage this country has played for decades. This has to resolve if this country is to survive and giving this administration a pass on all the corruption we've witnessed in the past 3 years would open the door to much, much worse corruption and national decay going forward.
You may be unaware of what Trump's lawyers are arguing for in federal court as we speak. They contend that a president, and I'm not exaggerating here, a president can not be charged for any crime while in office or for crimes he committed before taking office. They literally said that a president is immune from the Constitutional checks and balances this country has abided by since its inception. You couldn't make this stuff up in a bad movie and get people to take you seriously. Essentially, they are arguing that Trump is a king with absolute authority. What have we unleashed?

I wish that there was an “LOL” button for @JoeNation postings. On the one hand he talks about “the leadership role this country has played on the world stage.” Before that he posts that this nation has been at war for 93% of it its history and characterizes us as “imperialists”

So which is it Joe? Do we wear black hats or white hats!? I guess if Obama is president, we are pretty boys. If it’s Trump, we are heals. With you, it’s like pro wrestling. For you everything is black and white, except we really need to make it red to make you happy ... so long as you get to live like a socialist republic kingpin.

@JoeNation, are you one of those radicals who calls Lincoln a "M***** F***er" because he didn't free the slaves soon enough? That's as old as the 1968 musicall "Hair."

No, here are a few others that might be more appropriate, both issued by the Willkie campaign against Franklin Roosevelt in 1940.

    I am Indispensable.jpg

And for those who thought that everyone was "prime and proper" in 1940, think again.

    Third time Willkie.jpg

The Roosevelt forces responded with this.

    Third Time Roosevelt.jpg

This back of forth was over the fact that FDR was seeking a third term.
