A hypocrite. She wanted women "barefoot and pregnant", yet she was at times a lawyer, a newspaper editor, a public speaker and political activist. It's also hypocritical of her concerning her own parents, her father was out of work for about a decade (from the early 1930's to early 1940's) and her mother was the one who worked during that period (as a librarian and a teacher) to ensure Phyllis could attend a private Catholic girls school.
