"Republican Denounces ‘War on Whites’" | New York Magazine Just to make sure that nobody missed his drivel, or might think that he'd been mis-quoted, Brooks repeated the same accusation later. "Rep. Mo Brooks: Dems wage ‘war on whites’" | Politico
Isn't great that these Republicans have a month off to shoot off their mouths just before the election? Keep talking boys, you are the best marketing tools the Democrats have. On another note, statements like these show a certain desperation on their part. It only plays well to their idiotic extremist Right wing base and turns off independents. They are so desperate to shore up the people that will either vote for them or not vote at all, that they have to anger them with statements like this just to get them to the polls. Kind of the opposite message we have been hearing that the Republicans are more motivated to vote this election but these kinds of statements clearly indicate no movement towards the center and thus how desperate they are at this point. Did anybody ever tell Mo that Alabama is probably the most racist State in the country?
According to the 2010 Census Data Black/African American population in Alabama increased 8.3% while Illinois it decreased 0.6%.
I was going to comment that you were going to have to explain that comment to the other side. I figured you would get the response as you did.
Do I really understand you correctly? You want this "southern educated" (your best denigration of learning), "redneck", "Right wing a$$hat" to explain something to "the highest educated person in this forum"? WOW!!! Should I feel honored or spit upon? BTW, stew on it for a while and maybe it will come to you. Or maybe justafarmer will explain it to you.
I didn't think you really knew either. I won't be stewing on anything. I'm use to people like you making comments they can't explain.
Instead of listening to the original artful dodger, perhaps you can explain the relevance of these census stats. I'll just ignore the little trolling idiot.
It sounds like I am getting under your skin. Got any more insults? Maybe you can even give me something to quote.
Just found it interesting that Alabama, anointed in this thread as the country’s most racist state, had a significant increase in its African-American population. Yet Illinois, the home state of our country’s first African-American President, had a decrease in its African-American population.
Again, why? I can't see any cause and effect relationship to population growth or decrease in any state being relevant. You must have some type of point here. What is it?
Regional bigotry. Being from the south and having traveled a lot, it's something you run across. Just stand back and let them wallow in their own ignorance.
That's because the South has a long, long history of racism and bigotry. It can exist anywhere of course but few places I have visited make it part of their cultural heritage as in the south. The south just can't seem to let go of it's ways. It's getting better than it was but the south is still sort of the Mecca of racism and bigotry in this country. I've lived all over the place and even the southerners I've met admit that the rest of the country has nothing that compares to the prejudice of the south.
Considering the fact that there are MANY white Democrats declaring "war" on whites would be most counter productive. Considering that Democrats seem to do well with the Black, Hispanic and Women voters it seems a "last ditch" effort to gain the overall confidence of at least one "group" by the Republicans. Now if they can just gerrymander the voting districts correctly.
