Really, because they are definitely treated like Right-wing heroes. I can think of no one that has considered Gosnell a hero of any kind. I can show you quote after quote of Right-wingers singing the praises of people who murder abortion clinic doctors. So calling this piece of scum a Left-wing hero might serve the narrative in your head but quite the opposite is actually the truth. It is the Right-wingers that worships murderers not the Left. Care to go quote for quote with me? You show me anyone praising Gosnell and I'll show you far, far more people praising the people that murder doctors. I suspect all I will hear is silence from you. Your thread is total bullsh%#.
Doesn't sound like he is being praised to me.... Meanwhile, abortion rights groups have insisted that Gosnell’s crimes are an anomaly and that the abysmal conditions inside his clinic persisted only because numerous regulators ignored red flags for years. Such groups also were quick to praise Monday’s conviction, but they warned that restrictive measures being proposed by lawmakers in some states risk driving women to less-reputable abortion providers and cutting off funding to help low-income women afford the procedures. “We must reject misguided laws that would limit women’s options and force them to seek treatment from criminals like Kermit Gosnell,” Eric Ferrero, a spokesman for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement.
The Army of God.... Spitz is also the visible leader of the Army of God, an organization that memorializes the likes of Paul Hill, who murdered an abortion doctor in Florida in 1994, and Scott Roeder, the killer of George Tiller. "The mission of the Army of God is to save unborn babies from being put to death by baby killing abortionists," said Spitz. He further added that the Army of God is also committed to exalting "Jesus Christ" and living "by his commandments and his decrees." The unspoken, but blatantly obvious, purpose of the Army of God is to provide the theological groundwork necessary to develop additional anti-abortion vigilantes. "Most people in the Army of God are very strong willed. Most have a mind of their own and most act on their own," Spitz said of the cell-like infrastructure of the Army of God. While not responsible for the direct murder of an abortion doctor himself, Spitz has been acting on his beliefs for years. Claiming to have been "best friends" with Paul Hill and "good friends" with Scott Roeder, Spitz was, in fact, the spiritual advisor to Hill and was with him in 2004 when he was executed for his crimes. He has, at various times, been the object of F.B.I. scrutiny for his role in a possible conspiracy to institute social change through violence, namely the murder of abortion providers. Spitz said, "I think it might be illegal to advocate violence. I don't think we advocate violence, but we do believe that whatever is justified to save the life of a born baby is justified to save the life of an unborn baby." Speaking about the recent arson attacks against abortion clinics in Georgia, however, he said, "if I had to choose between the brick and mortar of some baby-killing abortion mill or choose live babies I will choose babies every time... If they were killing unborn babies at these places I have no problem. Whoever did it - it's great, it's wonderful."
I agree, it would be impossible to finds quotes of lefties expressing support for gosnell...but that isn't because he doesn't have their support, it simply means they don't have the gumption to publically express their support for such horrific practices. I further reject your assertion that this was a one-off deal. Libs fight tooth & nail to make sure partial birth abortion is protected, how could you begin to claim gosnell's facility was the only one practicing these methods? The left's problem with gosnell is that he got caught & by getting caught he exposes those infant death chambers to the light of day.
You believe he has broad left-wing support? Despite the evidence? And, you want to be taken seriously? Good luck with that.
I KNOW abortion has broad left wing support. I KNOW the left supports late term & born-alive abortion (BO introduced the legislation). Do you think gosnell invented the methods he used to kill those babies? The denial coming from the left, as I stated earlier, is a result of not wanting the public to know how their dirty little abortion business is conducted.
Seriously? I can say with 100 percent certainty that I have never met nor have I read of anyone on the Left that would in any way support this type of dirt bag. But let's not let reality interfere with your bizarre ideals of the political Left nor come between you and the things you tell yourself to make yourself feel better as a Republican. Your characterization of your political foes has but one consequence and one purpose. It fuels your anger, your resentment, and your sense of moral superiority. It's breath-taking how fundamentally ignorant you approach something like this. You have the least understanding that you can possibly have and you are the cause of your own ignorance. But I do like the fact that Coiny likes your post demonstrating just how equally ignorant he is.
I guess as long as I'm on the side of letting babies live, it really doesn't matter what you think about me, does it? What did gosnell do that was so different than any other abortionist performing partial birth abortions? You know, the sort of abortions BO authored legislation to allow.
I don't really care which "side" you are on or your personal views for that matter. Its how you choose to judge the people that are not on your side I find strange. Go ahead and express your views and people can agree or disagree but when you characterize people the way you want to see them rather than they way they are, who are you really fooling? Yourself basically.
Oh, well here's one: View attachment 1654 http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/planned-parenthood-official-defends-post-birth-abortions
If a child was born alive following a botched abortion.... Why don't you just drag out the fetuses in formaldehyde, and the pictures of bloody little body parts in a stainless steel pan? Don't forget the Hell House on Halloween with the twee little voice crying, "don't kill me! please don't kill me, aiiiirggeeee gurgle gurgle." Sorry, too late. Buaahahaha All you're doing at this point is caricaturing yourself. You're a joke. A very worn out and hackneyed one.
Since we are using simple little scenarios here to discuss a complex issue, give us the back story. Why was the abortion in your example being performed in the first place? I think we need some context here. And how do you propose to pay for its upbringing and education if it continues to develop outside the womb? You've already made it clear that you won't be contributing to the wellbeing of any child unless you have a say in how it got here. And is it healthy or mentally or physically deficient or impaired in some way. What's the prognosis for its quality of life going forward? These are just a few details your little story needs in order to make some sort of call here. There are more. It's not black and white. Yes or No. Hard as that concept might be for you to get your absolutist head a around.
The sense I get from the abortion supporters here is that they are unhappy gosnell was exposed but don't necessarily condemn his actions.
Really? I think I've called Gosnell both scum and a dirt bag but of course that doesn't fit your narrative so obviously you just ignore it. You should move beyond your preconceptions sometime and see the world for what it really is and not rely so completely on just your black and white worldview.
