They are able to do this because (1) the USPS as a monopoly is in complete control of its pricing, and (2) because its workforce is unionized.<br />

As such, the organization is essentially unaccountable . . . and it shows.  Everyone knows it, and no one is doing anything about it.<br />

I think it is time to petition the government to render monopolies ineligible for...<br />

Well, we used to have a dump, with beat up cars.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I worked in a nuclear missile firing battery from 1977 to 1982. In 1979 I served three months at Cape Canaveral firing missiles into the ocean. We would take them off hot firing pads in Germany, load them on transport planes and fly them to the Cape. The whole point being that the Army wanted to insure the live fire missiles would work when the fire button was pressed. Well, of course we didn’t fire live nukes so the Martin Marietta crowd would take the nuclear basketballs out of the warheads...<br />

The vast majority of them make it back down the mountain alive...but a few of them don&#039;t. Death is part of the allure of the mountain, a test of a persons will, their strength, their stamina.<br />

Today&#039;s ascents are tough, and people still die, but the routes to the top are well known and are prepared in advance of the ascents by sherpas, locals accustomed to living in high altitudes.<br />

Scientists figure 10km+ each week= slower ageing, less prone to die from causes like cancer, cardiovascular disease, strokes, also better immune system, have better endurance, increased fitness levels....<br />

Well, good news for me! I walk an average of 300kms a week, with my job! And the proof in the pudding/<br />

Among them I found a contract I wrote for my then very-nearly 16 year old daughter when she wanted to buy a car.
